Kesz Group Balatonfondo 2026 – Cycling celebration around the lake

The Balaton is especially beautiful in spring. Cooler mornings, blossoming shore sections and clean air provide the perfect backdrop for a memorable cycling event. On 1 May 2026 the Kesz Group Balatonfondo starts – one of the region's leading cycling events.

This is not an average Sunday family ride. Balatonfondo is a true fondo-style long-distance challenge where participants can complete the full Balaton loop on a beautiful, well-organised route. Kesz Group has successfully organised similar events for years, so the 2026 May edition promises high organisation, professional route planning and great atmosphere.

Why be there? May Day is perfect to enjoy the Balaton before summer crowds. The landscape is at its best: fresh green everywhere, not too hot yet with strong sun. Completing the distance means not just pushing limits but gaining experiences only the Balaton offers: Tihany Abbey from the saddle, Badacsony vineyards, Keszthely Bay and the southern shore panorama.
