The Balaton's spring awakening starts this year with a truly major sporting event: on 1 May 2026 the Kesz Group Balatonfondo takes place.

This gran fondo tour is already one of the most anticipated Balaton programmes. Participants can ride the lake's finest sections while the Balaton is still relatively quiet and the landscape shines fresh green. May Day timing is perfect: nature fully alive but summer crowds not yet arrived.
