Balaton lovers can already mark their calendars: on 1 May 2026 the Kesz Group Balatonfondo returns. One of the region's most popular amateur cycling events, it's the perfect season opener where sport, community and the lake's unique beauty meet.

Balatonfondo isn't an ordinary Sunday family ride. It's a true gran fondo challenge where participants start on different distances – from beginners to those aiming for tougher routes. Routes around the Balaton show spring's finest face: fresh green hillsides, blossoming shore sections and that special light only seen in early May.

Why come? Because you can sport and recharge at once. May Day is great to get back in the saddle after winter's break and ride with the lakeside cycling community.
