Accident at Lake Balaton: two cars collide on road 7 🚗

A traffic accident in the Siófok area on the southern Balaton shore caused serious disruption this afternoon for drivers heading to the lake. On main road 7 between kilometres 105 and 106 two cars collided, prompting Siófok professional firefighters. 🚗

Crews immediately de-energised the damaged vehicles. Traffic currently moves only in sections, so holidaymakers and locals face longer waits. The incident is especially critical on summer weekends when crowds arrive or leave beaches and Siófok harbour.

For residents this road is the main link to the Balaton and neighbouring towns, so incidents complicate both tourism and daily commuting. Authorities are clearing the scene to restore normal flow in the popular resort zone.
