Dramatic accident in Nemesgulács! 🚗💥

In a quiet corner of Lake Balaton's northern shore, Nemesgulács, a van and a car collided today near the Simon István housing estate. 🚗💥 The crash affects not only local residents but also busy Balaton roads used heavily in holiday season by tourists heading towards Badacsony.

During the collision fuel spilled from the van onto the road, posing an environmental risk near the Balaton shore. Professional firefighters from Badacsonytomaj quickly de-energised both vehicles and neutralised the leaked fluid. Three people travelled in the two cars; ambulance crews treated them on site – fortunately no serious injuries reported.

The accident causes a traffic obstruction on route 71, key to linking the northern shore. For Nemesgulács residents and nearby holidaymakers this may mean delays, especially in weekend peak traffic when visitors flood the wine region and waterfront.
