Conquer the Balaton at Balatonfondo 2026!

The Balaton can still surprise in spring – now with a truly major sporting event.

On 1 May 2026 the Kesz Group Balatonfondo takes place, one of the Balaton's most significant cycling events. The fondo-style race leads around the lake and through scenic Balaton Uplands roads so participants enjoy lake views, vineyard hills and fresh May air at once.

The event isn't just for pro racers. Balatonfondo traditionally offers several distances for beginners, families and those seeking tougher challenges. May Day is perfect to get back in the saddle after winter and ride around the Balaton when nature is green but summer heat hasn't arrived.
