Kesz Group Balatonfondo 2026 – Spring opener on two wheels

The Balaton again opens the season with sport and community: on 1 May 2026 the Kesz Group Balatonfondo returns. The popular cycling event is tradition among lake lovers and perfect to first experience the waking Balaton shore on two wheels.

Balatonfondo isn't a simple bike tour. For those who know fondo riding it's a true endurance experience: different distances in uniformly beautiful Balaton surroundings. Classic lake circuit or shorter family routes – everyone finds their challenge. May Day is especially lovely: shores not yet packed with summer crowds, landscape fresh green and the Balaton water seems to celebrate.

Why come? Because performance isn't everything. Balatonfondo is also a community festival where locals and distant visitors ride together, sharing the lake's wonder. Fresh spring air, familiar Balaton hospitality, cycling camaraderie and that feeling when morning is cool on shore and afternoon sun reflects on water – experiences found only here.
