Two cars collide in Keszthely beside Lake Balaton 🚗

In Keszthely, one of the busiest cities in Lake Balaton's western basin, a traffic accident briefly disrupted traffic towards the lakeside. At the junction of main road 71 and Fenéki Road two cars collided and one ended up in a ditch. Fortunately both drivers were alone and got out of the wreckage unaided.

Keszthely professional firefighters arrived immediately and de-energised the vehicles; ambulance services also attended. The incident occurred at a key junction between lakeside towns, where traffic is especially heavy in summer with beachgoers and guests.

Similar accidents remind us that road safety around the lake needs special attention in peak season. For Keszthely it is important that guests heading to Hévíz or the southern shore can travel smoothly — rapid clearance is crucial for the region's tourism image.
