Flames on the Balaton shore: a car burned on 7217! 🔥

Dramatic scenes took place in the popular hiking area of ​​the northern shore of Lake Balaton: a car was completely engulfed in flames on road 7217, near Sátorhegyi road in Balatonalmádi. 🚒 The professional firefighters from Balatonfüzfő extinguished the fire with two water jets, luckily the two passengers were able to get out of the car in time.

Ambulances called to the scene treated those affected, who remained unharmed. Regardless of the incident, however, serious traffic disruptions occurred: the entire width of the affected road section was closed, which is particularly depressing in the traffic on the Lake Balaton. As the gateway to the region, Balatonalmádi is a key hub for vacationers and locals - road 7217 leads to the hills of the highlands, where many people go for hiking or to relax, escaping the hustle and bustle of the lakeside.

In the middle of the Balaton summer, this accident puts an extra burden on the roads of the region: congestion threatens the Balatonfüred-Almád line, making it difficult for beachgoers and hikers to travel. According to the locals, it is worth taking detours, for example, using highway 71.
