Balaton Doctor Couple Saves a Man on Their Day Off 🩺

On the southern shore of Lake Balaton, in Somogy county, a heart-wrenching incident occurred that once again highlights how important quick assistance is during the summer season. A man around 60 years old collapsed without any prior symptoms in front of a local pastry shop, exactly at a time when many Balaton guests and locals were in the area. Fortunately, a doctor couple on their day off was nearby, who immediately rushed to his aid. They called an ambulance, then determined that the man was no longer breathing, so they immediately started resuscitation. Using a semi-automatic defibrillator, they took turns fighting for his life until the professionals arrived on the scene. First, an ambulance vehicle arrived, then a rescue helicopter, whose crew took over the patient's care. Thanks to the couple's intervention, the man's circulation returned, so he was transported to the hospital by air in stable condition. Such cases are of particular importance in the Balaton-side settlements, as during the summer months many tourists visit us, and a quick reaction can save lives on the beach or in the center of the settlements as well. ❤️ The selfless help of the doctor couple is exemplary and shows well that in the Balaton region there are always those who are ready to help.
