Something caught fire in Zalakaros – What happened? 🔥

A smaller fire disrupted the summer season in Zalakaros, an important base for Balaton-side tourism. Towels caught fire in the basement laundry of the hotel on Üdülő sor, prompting local and professional firefighters from Nagykanizsa to respond to the scene.

The flames were quickly brought under control, after which the building was ventilated. During the rescue operations, the units evacuated the facility, so 378 guests had to temporarily leave the hotel. Fortunately, no one was injured.

For Balaton-side settlements near Zalakaros, it is always important that the region's tourist facilities remain safe. While such incidents briefly disturb guests' peace, they also highlight the importance of rapid intervention during peak season.

Thanks to the firefighters' effective work, the building will soon be able to welcome guests again. The resorts around Balaton thus remain attractive destinations for domestic and foreign visitors 🚒🌊.
