Storm alert lifted at Lake Balaton – good weather is here! 🌞
Settlements on the western shore of Lake Balaton, such as Keszthely and its surroundings, can breathe a sigh of relief: HungaroMet has withdrawn the storm alert previously issued for Zala County due to the risk of thunderstorms. This decision directly affects lakeside holidaymakers and locals, who can now plan their weekend more calmly.
With the lifting of the alert, concerns about sudden storms have disappeared around the Balaton beaches and harbours. For holidaymakers, this means that outdoor activities – boat trips, swimming or evening walks along the shore – can continue undisturbed. This news is particularly important for the Balaton settlements in Zala County, as lakeside tourism continues to play a key role in the local economy this year.
According to the meteorological service, the risk of thunderstorms no longer justifies the warning in either Csongrád-Csanád or Zala County. This change is favourable for the entire Lake Balaton region, as excursionists departing from the western shore can now travel more safely on the surrounding roads.
🌞 The sunny weather will hopefully attract many people to the waterfront, where locals and guests alike can enjoy the peaceful Balaton atmosphere. The withdrawal of the alert is therefore not only meteorological news, but also a positive development for the summer season in the region.
