Delay at Siófok on the Budapest-Déli–Keszthely train due to the heat

Due to technical faults and stormy weather on Sunday afternoon, disruptions occurred in rail traffic in the Balaton region and on other lines.

• A switch fault occurred on the southern Balaton line between Balatonlelle felső and Balatonboglár.
• The fault was later fixed, but longer travel times are still to be expected.
• In the Danube Bend, a freight train's locomotive caught fire between Verőce and Nagymaros.
• Trees fell on the overhead lines in several sections, so replacement buses were running.
• Delays occurred at Siófok for trains running between Budapest-Déli and Keszthely.
