Missing woman found in Lake Balaton with drone 🛰️

At the Ezüstpart in Siófok, a woman who left a farewell message and drifted into the waters of Lake Balaton was rescued with the help of a drone. The incident occurred late in the evening on June 29, when the woman's daughter notified the authorities after finding her mother's phone and belongings on the shore without seeing her anywhere.

The patrol officers of the Készenléti Rendőrség immediately searched the area and deployed a drone for the search. Shortly afterwards, they spotted a human figure in the water about fifty meters from the shore. As the woman did not respond to repeated calls, a police officer immediately jumped in after her, and a local man who was a good swimmer joined him. Together they escorted the woman safely to shore.

The paramedics were already waiting for them on the shore, treated the woman and then transported her to the hospital in Siófok for further examinations. The incident highlights how quickly the authorities can respond in the lakeside settlements of Lake Balaton during the summer season, when thousands visit the shore for relaxation.

The success of the drone search is particularly important at the Ezüstpart in Siófok, where tourism generates heavy traffic. To prevent similar situations, it is also essential to raise awareness of mental health support for locals and holidaymakers in the Balaton region.
