A workshop in Badacsonytördemic fell victim to the flames 🔥

In Badacsonytördemic, one of the popular wine-growing settlements on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, a workshop in the Kültelek area was engulfed in flames. The fire spread quickly, but the professional firefighters from Keszthely and Badacsonytomaj jointly managed to control the flames in the evening hours, so the surrounding properties and the proximity of the tourist-frequented Badacsony Hill were not endangered.

During the intervention, the units deployed several water and foam jets to prevent the fire from spreading further. The damage in the workshop is significant, but fortunately no personal injuries have been reported. The firefighters are currently carrying out the follow-up work: in addition to smoke extraction and cooling down, they are working on making the area safe.

It is reassuring for the locals that the professional units of the Balaton-side settlements reacted so quickly. For the holidaymakers and restaurateurs of Badacsonytördemic and the neighboring Badacsony resort area, quick intervention is particularly important, as the presence of the fire department in the summer season also strengthens the sense of security in the area. 🚒
