Mysterious Fire in Pétfürdő near Lake Balaton 🔥

Flames broke out on the second floor of an apartment building in Pétfürdő, on Liszt Ferenc Street, right in the vicinity of the northern shore of Lake Balaton. The smoke quickly filled the stairwell, so the professional firefighters from Balatonfűzfő also rushed to the scene immediately to extinguish the fire together with the units from Veszprém and Pétfürdő.

Under the direction of the Veszprém County disaster management operational service, the flames were extinguished with two water jets. The intervention proceeded quickly, allowing residents of the surrounding buildings to weather the event without major alarm. For the lakeside settlements along Lake Balaton, it is especially important that the region’s firefighters cooperate so effectively, as there are many visitors and holidaymakers in the area during summer.
