Fire in Balatonszárszó 🔥 Garden storage shed caught fire

In Balatonszárszó, a popular resort on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, flames broke out in the garden of a residential house. A twenty-five square meter garden storage shed located at the corner of Botond Street and Kisfaludy Sándor Street caught fire, and the fire quickly spread to the tools stored next to it and the surrounding grassy area as well.

Professional firefighters from Siófok and volunteer firefighters from Balatonföldvár arrived at the scene. They managed to control the fire with two water jets, while continuously removing items from the storage shed during the rescue operations. Thanks to the quick intervention, the flames did not spread to the residential house.

Such incidents always remind us that fire protection is of paramount importance for holidaymakers and locals alike in the settlements along Lake Balaton, especially due to garden storage sheds and dry vegetation. The coordinated work of the Siófok and Balatonföldvár units once again provided effective protection for the properties in the area.
