Balaton Shocking Theater and Rusty Exhibition on Christianity
One of the special cultural treasures of the Balaton Uplands, the First Hungarian Sight Museum in Tapolca-Diszel this year explores the theme of water and electricity. The idea for the exhibition was given by collector Ákos Vörösváry from nearly hundred-year-old rusty wires found during the renovation of an old building.
Selecting from the pieces of the private collection that has been expanding for sixty years, the exhibition now draws attention to the fragility of everyday infrastructure and questions of sustainability. The location near Balaton thus once again offers an exciting meeting point between art and the everyday reality of the region.
