Spectacular Changes at Lake Balaton: Krúdy and Isztria Promenades Renovated! 🌊

Significant changes are underway in one of the most popular areas on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, in the center of Siófok. Thanks to the renovation of the Krúdy Promenade, walkers and those seeking relaxation by the lake will be able to enjoy the proximity of the water and the panorama in an even more pleasant environment.

With nearly one billion forints in funding obtained by the SIÓFOK CITY MUNICIPALITY, a comprehensive renovation of the promenade will be carried out. As part of the project, vehicle traffic will be excluded from the area, making the Krúdy Promenade accessible only to pedestrians and cyclists. The investment also includes the arrangement of the Rózsakert and the area around the Isztria Promenade, which will further strengthen the city's tourist appeal on the shores of Lake Balaton.

The planned completion of the 994 030 000 forint European Union-funded development is December 30, 2026. As a result of the work, the promenades will receive a more modern pavement, renewed green areas, and more comfortable resting places, making lakeside leisure more attractive for both Balaton vacationers and locals.

This investment fits well into the effort to make Siófok and the Lake Balaton area increasingly a venue for sustainable, car-free recreation.
