Blazing balcony alarms Keszthely residents 🔥

Keszthely, one of the most popular towns in the western basin of Lake Balaton, a serious alarm was caused by an apartment fire in Fodor Street. What is particularly worrying for locals is that the furnishings on the balcony of a condominium home caught fire, and the flames quickly spread into the interior of the apartment as well.

On the ignited balcony, objects burned over six square meters, then the flames spread over three square meters to the neighboring room, where furnishings also caught fire. The dense smoke also affected the immediately neighboring apartment, so several families had to leave their homes for a short time.

The professional firefighters from Keszthely and Marcali arrived at the scene immediately, under the direction of the Zala County disaster management operational service. Thanks to their quick and professional intervention, the fire did not spread to other apartments, and no personal injuries occurred. 🚒

The incident once again highlights that fire protection and prevention are of particular importance in the settlements along Lake Balaton, especially during the summer season, when many people are staying in the area. Local residents can now breathe a sigh of relief, but the events serve as a warning to everyone.
