Balaton Decisions That Affect Everyone 🌊

Balatonakarattya, one of the dynamically developing settlements on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, has once again proven that the local government is actively shaping the community's future. The decisions made at the latest representative body meeting directly affect the lakeside quality of life and tourist appeal.

The council first revoked its previous resolution No. 59/2025, thereby clarifying the legal background for further planning. Subsequently, resolution No. 60/2025 was amended: the full-time deputy mayor's expense reimbursement and salary were adjusted to local conditions. These steps ensure that the municipality operates more efficiently in the Balaton region.

Special attention was given to the new railway station issue 🚉. The municipality adopted an official position regarding the planned facility in Balatonakarattya. This investment could significantly improve access to the lake, facilitating the arrival of guests from Budapest and the countryside, as well as supporting local businesses.

Finally, the representatives discussed the second half of the 2026 work plan. The plans prominently feature Balaton shoreline infrastructure developments and tourism-boosting initiatives, which will strengthen the settlement's competitiveness in the region in the long term.
