Car on fire on the M7 towards Balaton 🔥

In the Balatonfőkajár area, on the M7 motorway side towards the capital, a serious traffic and safety situation developed when a vehicle caught fire completely. The fire quickly spread to the wooded and bushy area next to the car, requiring immediate intervention due to the spreading flames.

On the section between kilometers 86-87, the Polgárdi municipal firefighters were the first to arrive on the scene and began extinguishing the fire with water jets. For the Balaton region, it is particularly important that the Balatonfűzfő professional fire department was also alerted, so units from surrounding settlements are working in coordination to contain the flames 🔥.

The M7 motorway is one of the most important routes for traffic heading to and returning from Balaton, so the incident may directly affect tourists arriving in the area as well as local residents. The firefighters' rapid intervention is crucial to restoring traffic as soon as possible and preventing spread to a larger area.
