One of the most exciting wine heritage sites of the northern shore of Lake Balaton is located in Vonyarcvashegy, where the historic Festetics family cellar now welcomes visitors year-round. The rich past of the Balaton region's wine districts comes to life here, as the 200-year-old Helikon Taverna cellar not only preserves the local viticulture traditions but also strengthens tourism around the lake.

On Saturdays between 11 and 13 o'clock guided tours allow visitors to explore the former wine cellar of the Festetics family, which now also functions as a wine and gastronomy exhibition space. Visitors can gain insight into centuries-old winemaking techniques while enjoying the unique atmosphere of the Balaton shoreline landscape.

Above the cellar, the Zenit Balaton Étterem offers tastings of centuries-old varieties, allowing guests to combine the cellar visit with a lakeside gastronomic experience. This program is an excellent opportunity for both locals and tourists to discover the values of winemaking around Lake Balaton.

The open cellar days contribute to increasing the attractiveness of Vonyarcvashegy and the wider Balaton region, strengthening local identity and sustainable tourism. 🍷
