You can vote on the name of Kertalja Street in Balatonberény 🗳️

In Balatonberény, located on the shores of Lake Balaton, the local community can once again decide on an important detail: naming a new public road. The names of streets in settlements around the lake often reflect the identity of the area, linked to the landscape, gardens, or Balaton life.

Based on resolution 126/2026. (VIII.24.), the representative body wants to name three public roads under hrsz. The proposed name: Kertalja. Before the decision, the public is also involved in the process, as street names have a long-term impact on daily life and the image of the settlement.

The municipality requests opinions and suggestions in an announcement. These can be submitted in writing by noon on October 15, 2026 to the office at Kossuth tér 1, in person or by post. The received comments will be taken into account by the body when making the final decision.

Such a naming is not just an administrative issue – in the villages around Lake Balaton, street names often tell about local traditions and the gardening, relaxation-seeking community 🌊. It is therefore worth actively participating in the consultation so that the final result truly fits the atmosphere of Balatonberény.
