Balatoni bálban meggyulladt Pista a sok pálinkától 🔥

Pista Caught Fire at the Balaton Ball from Too Much Pálinka 🔥

BalatonLife

The cultural educational trail of Lulla, located near Lake Balaton, evokes both the past and the village's survival. The ten streets of the former vineyard area stretching on the hilly region behind Zamárdi and Balatonföldvár became depopulated due to the missed developments of the 1960s, but the locals have now erected a memorial to the abandoned homesteads.

Several stories emerge along the walking trail. In one abandoned house, a young bride committed suicide after the war, while another homestead was once the social center of the village. Here, old István's son, Pista, drank himself into such a state at a ball that the pálinka “caught fire in him”, and the tall Mária also lived here, who struck back at the mockers with a brick.

The Lulla Cultural Educational Trail was handed over this June, and it still preserves the colorful memories of the small villages of the Balaton Uplands. 🌿
