Balaton Sensation: Celebrities' Promenade Led by Rákóczi 🌟

Siófok, one of the most popular resort towns on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, is preparing to enrich the lakeside experiences with another exciting cultural investment. At its September meeting, the representative body unanimously decided to establish the Siófok Celebrities' Promenade on the pedestrian walkway between Fő tér and Millennium Park. The first memorial column evokes II. Ferenc Rákóczi, whose 350th birth anniversary this year gives special significance to the initiative.

The first column could already stand by city day, allowing Balaton visitors and locals alike to learn about the prince's story. Behind the decision is the fact that Rákóczi first used his seal in 1705, creating a symbolic link between Hungarian history and Siófok's new promenade. This project fits perfectly with strengthening tourism along the Balaton shore, as the walking route connects to the lakeside promenades and offers an attractive destination for families on holiday 🌊.

In the long term, the Celebrities' Promenade could increase Siófok's appeal, especially among those interested in cultural tourism. The Balaton region thus gains another spot where history and nature meet, and where visitors receive not only lakeside relaxation but also intellectual experiences. According to the city leadership's hopes, the row of memorial columns will over time feature additional celebrities, strengthening Siófok's identity as the gateway to Lake Balaton.
