Balaton Quarantine: Beekeepers Terrified Due to Foulbrood Disease 🐝

We draw the attention of beekeepers around the Balaton area that a protection zone and quarantine have been ordered in a local settlement due to American foulbrood of honey bees. Due to the rapid spread of the severe infection, the authorities have introduced immediate measures.

During the quarantine, it is forbidden to move bees, hives and honey products outside the designated area. Beekeepers along the Balaton shore are advised to regularly check their hives, and in case of suspicion, immediately notify the local veterinary service. 🐝
