🔥 Outbuilding catches fire in Sümeg

In one of the historical settlements of the Balaton Uplands, Sümeg once again demonstrated the importance of the coordinated work of the local and regional fire departments. An outbuilding caught fire in Dózsa György Street, which required immediate intervention for the safety of the community.

The professional firefighters from Keszthely and the municipal firefighters from Sümeg brought the flames under control with three water jets. Quick response is particularly important in settlements near Balaton, where tourist traffic increases during the summer period, and every local event can affect residents and visitors of the surrounding settlements alike.

Specialists from the electricity provider also arrived on site to ensure the safe restoration of power supply. The incident shows how effectively the fire units of the Balaton region work together to protect smaller settlements.

Similar events remind us that prevention and local readiness are key to preserving the peace of the communities around Balaton. 🚒
