Felsőörs új weboldala: Balatoni gyöngyszem vár felfedezésre! 🌊

Felsőörs's new website: A Balaton gem awaits discovery! 🌊

BalatonLife

Among the natural treasures of the Balaton Uplands, Felsőörs occupies a special place, where Csere-hegy and the Felső-hegyi forest provide an ideal environment for active recreation. The forests of the region are favorite destinations not only for locals but also for tourists visiting the Balaton area, and now they have been enriched with another exciting event.

On October 3-4, 2026, the Honvéd Cup was held in this area, which was also an important qualification station for the World Orienteering Championships (WOC) to be held in Hungary in 2027. The patron of the competition was Kálmán Lengyel, mayor of Felsőörs, who together with Sándor Kopcsándi, representative of the forest ownership of the Felső-hegyi forest, welcomed the participants. 🏞️

The event provided an excellent opportunity for more people to discover the forests around the Balaton settlements. The orienteering competition participants not only enjoyed the sport but also came into direct contact with local natural values, contributing to increasing the tourist appeal of the Balaton Uplands.

The organization of the competition clearly demonstrates how actively the municipalities and forest managers of the region support healthy outdoor programs. Thus, Felsőörs and the Balaton-side settlements have once again proven that proximity to nature and community events together make the region attractive in every season of the year.
