Secrets of Zánka: What does the future bring on the shores of Lake Balaton? 🌊
Zánka on the shores of Lake Balaton has always preserved the traditions of communal memory, and now once again offers the opportunity for locals to jointly recall one of the defining moments of Hungarian history. At the Zánka Village House on October 10, Saturday at 5 PM, they await those interested with a free lecture, which also carries a particularly important message for the communities around Lake Balaton.
The special lecture titled “The Smoke Rings Are Coming Home – In Memory of My Father” evokes the memory of the 1956 revolution and war of independence through personal stories, letters, poems, and music. The lecture is realized with the support of the Déryné Program, and specifically aims to ensure that residents of the Balaton region can also worthily commemorate the heroes.
The free nature of the event allows as many people as possible to participate in this moving communal remembrance. The program held at the Zánka Village House offers an excellent opportunity for local families to reflect together on the struggle for freedom, while the tranquility of Lake Balaton and the power of community solidarity are also present.
The organizers warmly welcome everyone who wishes to experience this personal and authentic commemoration in the heart of the lakeside settlement. 🌊
