Balatonföldvár Municipality Turns Directly to the Minister of Finance Due to Stuck EU Funds

Balatonföldvár representative body adopted a resolution at its meeting on October 1, 2026, to turn directly to Finance Minister dr. Kármán András for the earliest possible payment of outstanding amounts under the „Boldog Békeidők Nyarai Balatonföldváron” project.

The Hungarian State Treasury Somogy County Directorate fully examined and approved the accounts, however the disbursement of the support amounts has been suspended since April 2026. The amount of unpaid support is 263 030 050 Ft.

The municipality already contacted MP Csatári Ernő in writing on August 17, 2026, but no substantive response was received. According to the State Audit Office investigation, neither the municipality nor the contractor is responsible for the financing situation.
