Lóczy Lajos Gimnázium sports field renewed in Balatonfüred for 36 million forints

In Balatonfüred, the outdoor sports field of Lóczy Lajos Gimnázium has been renovated for 36 million forints, receiving a new Rekortan surface. The investment was realized within the framework of the Iskolai Sportpálya-felújítási Program 2026, renewing the previous asphalt-surfaced field.

Deputy Mayor András Holczer stated at the handover ceremony that the complete renovation of the grammar school was completed exactly six years ago. The city has been monitoring the school's needs ever since; previously classrooms were air-conditioned, and now the sports field has been completed.

Principal András Csapó emphasized that the renewed field strengthens the school's community life, provides opportunities for regular sports activities, and helps foster community cohesion. The students inaugurated the new facility with friendly matches.
