Car burns out near Balaton between Karád and Andocs 🔥

On the southern shore of Balaton, on the section of road 6514 between Andocs and Karád, a passenger car caught fire in its entirety. The location represents an important connection between settlements near the lake, so the incident immediately affected local traffic and the daily lives of local residents.

The Karád volunteer firefighters were the first to arrive at the scene and immediately began extinguishing the vehicle. They were soon joined by the Balatonboglár municipal firefighters, who, as a unit of the Balaton-side town, intervened quickly and effectively. Together, they managed to control the fire and then thoroughly cool down the wreck.

The units confirmed with thermal camera checks that no hidden fire pockets remained in the vehicle. Finally, the burnt-out car was also removed from the roadway, allowing traffic to be restored in the area as soon as possible. The incident once again highlighted the importance of coordinated work by volunteer and professional firefighters in the settlements around Balaton.
