Balatonfüred received an excellent rating in the public space beautification competition for a clean and flowery Veszprém County.

The Financial and Territorial Development Committee of the General Assembly of the Veszprém County Municipality announced the competition for the 24th time. Its goal is to recognize the environmental beautification work of the county's settlements, to create an orderly townscape and to maintain green areas.

51 settlements entered this year's competition: eight towns, one large village and 42 small settlements. The jury visited the participating settlements during the summer and evaluated the orderliness of the environment, the condition of green areas, the flowering, and the development of the townscape.
