Commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the 1956 Revolution in Balatonkeresztúr

In Balatonkeresztúr, at the ceremony held on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence that broke out on October 23, 1956, the commemorators could watch the performance of the upper-grade students of the Festetics Kristóf Primary School.

The host Gelencsér Zétény greeted the attendees. Following the national anthem, the students' festive program was presented. The preparing teacher was Lukácsné Tuli Ildikó, and the participating choir was conducted by Simonné Lichy Ágnes. The choreography of the production was created by Dombi Chiara and Negyedes Fanni.

The memorial event continued with the wreath-laying at the statue of Cardinal József Mindszenty, Prince Primate. Wreaths of homage were laid by the municipality, the primary school, the Őszidő Pensioners' Club, the Leisure and Cultural Association, and the sports club. The event concluded with the melodies of the Szózat.
