Siófok handled 15.1 percent of Lake Balaton's guest nights

Siófok ranks first on the Balaton top list in terms of the number of guest nights. The four leading settlements – Siófok, Hévíz, Balatonfüred and Zalakaros – handled 45.8 percent of the total traffic, of which Siófok achieved 15.1 percent.

Compared to the 2019 data, Siófok increased its traffic from 820 thousand guest nights to nearly 1.3 million, which is a growth of more than 50 percent. Hévíz is 8-9 percent below the 2019 level, Zalakaros roughly maintains it, and a 16 percent expansion is expected in Balatonfüred.

Siófok is continuously developing its approximately 9-kilometer shoreline that can be used as a free beach.
