Serious crash at Balaton Park: Oliveira taken to hospital!

Dramatic moments at Balaton Park Circuit: Nicolò Bulega's triumph and Miguel Oliveira's crash

The Balaton region's motorsport experience reached another peak on 10 May 2026 at Balaton Park Circuit, hosting the Superbike World Championship Superpole race. At the facility near Zalakaros the track buzzed as superbike engines echoed along the Balaton shore.

Italian rider Nicolò Bulega confidently won Superpole qualifying, securing pole for the main race. Sadly Portuguese Miguel Oliveira suffered serious injuries in a crash and was airlifted to hospital. Despite the accident the event created electric atmosphere full of adrenaline and fan excitement.
